Three LaLiga Games To Watch Out For This Matchday

After two weeks of the international break, Laliga resumes play. Many players travelled over the international break, and some of them came back injured. Since club football has resumed, we have some intriguing matchups among the top 5 European leagues.

We have some entertaining matchups this week in Laliga. When Laliga returns, Spain will once again experience drama and excitement. Laliga is a very competitive league, with all of the participating clubs closely competing with one another.

Real Madrid remains at the top of the La Liga standings going into Game week 7.  Barcelona, led by Xavi Hernandez, is in the second position, 2 points behind Madrid. Real Betis has been the La Liga season’s underdog. Betis is now third in the Laliga after having a remarkable season under Pellegrini.

Currently, Laliga Game week 7 is approaching. Let’s take a look at several Laliga matches that are worth paying attention to.

3 Laliga Games to Watch out for this weekend

Sevilla vs Atletico Madrid

One of the biggest games in Laliga game week 7 will definitely be Sevilla hosting Atletico Madrid at Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan. Both the clubs haven’t had a great start to their Laliga campaign so far this season.

The Host Sevilla is in a complete mess this season. They have just managed to win a single game so far in Laliga. Sevilla is struggling a lot defensively. They lost their first choice centre back pairing in the transfer window and have not been able to replace them with suitable options. Offensively too their goals have dried up. Sevilla isn’t able to create much in the final third. Lopetegui is under immense pressure at Seville. But in recent games, Sevilla has shown some improvements.

Sevilla managed to beat Espanyol in a thrilling game by a score line of 3-2 and also managed to draw a tough game against the in-form Villareal side just before the international break kicked in. With Sevilla’s better run of form and confidence with them, they would want to start this upcoming month on a positive note with a good display and hopeful of a win against Atletico Madrid.

Talking about Atletico Madrid, their opponents, they have had a topsy turvy season so far. Atletico Madrid hasn’t looked that composed in the opening few games. Mostly they have managed to win games in injury or stoppage time. Griezmann with all contract and buyout clause drama ongoing has been their best player coming off the bench from the 60th-minute mark onwards.

Atletico Madrid coming into this game on the back of back-to-back defeats in their last 2 matches. Firstly to Bayer Leverkusen in the Champions League and then to their arch-city rivalry Real Madrid in Madrid Derby. With a much-needed break for a few players and the manager to think and ponder upon his tactical mistake. Diego Simeone and his men would want to prove their doubters wrong and would want to register a win at a tough away stadium against a rigid Sevilla team.

Celta Vigo vs Real Betis

The next game in one to watch out for in Laliga this game week 7 will be Celta Vigo hosting Real Betis at their home ground. The game will be played at Balaidos stadium. Real Betis coming into this game in form behind their back.

Real Betis have really been a surprise package in Laliga this season. They have emerged as one of the favourites for the top 4 spot in the league. This has been Real Betis’ finest performance since Setin left Betis a few years back. Real Betis have just lost a single game in the opening six match days in Laliga. Betis looks like a well-set team with shape and structure. Borja Iglesias has been the man in form for them. He has netted 6 goals in 6 games averaging one goal per game.

Defensively they are the third-best team in the league. Real Betis have so far just conceded 4 goals in 6 games. This season has been one of the team’s dominating positions and likes to build up their attacks. With the coming up against struggling Celta Vigo they would definitely hope to win the game and pile pressure on both Spanish giants, Real Madrid and Barcelona.

Coming into Celta Vigo they are struggling this season to find their rhythm. They have had their own ups and downs in just 6 games. Celta Vigo so far has managed to win 2 games and has lost 3 games. The worrying factor for Celta Vigo will be their game in this game on back-to-back two back-to-back defeats by 3 goal margin in both games. With a fresh start after a much-needed break, Celta Vigo will be hoping to get their campaign back on track.

Barcelona vs Mallorca

The final game on our list from Laliga game week 7 will be Barcelona hosting Mallorca. Barcelona before the international break was a team to watch out for. They were dominating teams in Laliga. They were winning games with ease against any opponent in Laliga. But this international break has served them harshly. Many of their first team players have returned injured.

One of the interesting things to watch out for Barcelona this week will be how Xavi Hernandez copes with so many injuries. Barcelona has dealt with big blows, especially in defence wherein their first-choice CB pairing of Kounde and Araujo are out injured. Also their only genuine right-back option Hector Bellerin is too reported out with an injury. So with a lot of injuries and an action-packed month of October waiting for the Catalans, it will be interesting to see how they line up against Mallorca.

Coming into Mallorca they have mixed seasons so far. They have won 2 games, lost 2 games and drawn 2 games. They have 8 points from 6 games and would want to climb up the table. Mallorca might feel this is the perfect opportunity to face Barcelona who is dealing with an injury crisis and will be looking to set the tone once again after 2 weeks of break time.
