PSG news: Paris St. Germain were linked
with signing Bayern
Munich’s Benjamin Pavard during
the recently concluded transfer window.
Pavard has been a key
performer for the Bavarians since joining from VfB Stuttgart in the summer
window of 2019. He has played 86 league games for the club so far, scoring five
goals.
The 26-year-old helped the
Munich outfit win over 10 major trophies, including three Bundesliga titles and
one UEFA Champions League trophy. He was also part of the Bundesliga Team of
the Season 2019-20.
Pavard is also a key member
of the French national team, representing his country 45 times since making his
debut in 86. He was part of the Les Blues squad
that lifted the FIFA World Cup in 2018.

According to Telefoot (via PSG Talk), Paris
Saint-Germain was among the clubs interested in signing Benjamin Pavard in the
summer.
In a recent interview, Pavard
also revealed that several clubs have approached him during the recently
concluded transfer window. He said: “I questioned myself. I had calls
from different clubs with my agent.
Afterward,
I had the coach with whom we spoke and with whom we have a good relationship.”
However, the France
international stayed at the Allianz Arena and is playing a vital role for the
Bavarians this season. He has played five Bundesliga games this term, scoring
one goal.
Christophe
Galtier Provides an Update on Hugo Ekitike’s Situation
PSG manager Christophe
Galtier revealed why Hugo Ekitike hasn’t played much this season.
Speaking to the media, he said: “Hugo is a player with incredible
potential. He is discovering the highest level. The youngster needs some
sessions to find the right level and to create a connection with the attacking
unit.
Ekitike
is one of the most promising attackers in European football. He joined the
Parisians on loan from Reims in the recently concluded transfer window.
However, he currently has Neymar, Kylian Mbappe, and Lionel Messi ahead of him
in the pecking order at the Parc des Princes. He is yet to start a league game
of the Paris outfit.
