Manchester United News: Red Devils Stars Hit by
‘Food Poisoning Outbreak’ in Dressing Room With 12 Feeling Unwell
Manchester United News: More than just
three points were carried back from Moldova by the Red Devils; they also
apparently brought food poisoning.
On their first visit to the
Eastern European nation, United defeated
FC Sheriff 2-0 in the Europa League on Thursday night. Erik ten Hag’s team
recovered from their competition opening round loss to Real Sociedad. Jadon
Sancho and Cristiano Ronaldo scored for the record Premier League Champions.
United put in a professional
performance and continued to show signs of chemistry under their new
management. However, The Sun reported that 12 of the travelling party started
to feel sick upon their return on Friday morning.
After the game, United
immediately departed Chisinau on a private jet. However, they still fell ill
with an unidentified disease. It is thought to have been caused by either
something they ate or the aircraft itself.

United News: International break comes as a relief
Some players didn’t show up for the Friday recovery training
session at Carrington. Some weren’t well enough to show up the following day.
The home game against Leeds
United, which was initially scheduled for Sunday, was postponed, which was a
blessing for Ten Hag. Due to a shortage of police officers before the Queen’s
formal burial on Monday at Westminster Abbey, the game had to be postponed.
None of the United players
are said to have been hindered by their illness. They will be joining up with
their respective national teams during the international break.
Marcus Rashford and Sancho
were not included in Gareth Southgate’s England team for the upcoming
friendlies against Italy and Germany. However, Harry Maguire and Luke Shaw will
represent the Three Lions.
What
did Erik Ten Hag say?
Ten Hag intends to continue
his work on the practice pitch during the two-week break. “It
has great value. After the Sheriff’s victory, he added, “We
have many meetings, and we need to enhance the structures inside and outside
the club.
We
will also make plans for the future and look out the window in January or next
summer to better our playing style. Naturally, there are these times right
after a game. However, we have to be prepared for them and let’s say 90% of the
players are away.
But for the others, we will adequately train, and for the rest,
we must be exceptionally well prepared. Before we can start the attack, I hope
everyone remains well and returns in good shape.”
