IND vs AUS: Reason Behind Dinesh Karthik Donning A Different Helmet Compared To Other Batsmen Revealed

IND vs AUS: India’s veteran wicketkeeper-batsman Dinesh Karthik hogged the limelight after he chipped in with a spectacular six followed by a four in the second T20I against Australia in Nagpur.

When India required 9 runs to win off the last over, Karthik executed his plans to perfection. As a result, India were able to get over the finishing line when it mattered the most.

In fact, Australia were the first to take the opening lead in the series in Mohali. The Men in Yellow defeated Rohit Sharma-led Indian cricket team by 4 wickets in the T20I opener.

Indian bowlers failed to bring the best out of themselves and ended up losing the game. Australian batters comfortably got over the line with 4 balls to spare.

Talking about the second T20I, the game was reduced to 8 overs aside owing to wet outfield conditions. However, it turned out to be a mega blockbuster clash with fireworks from both sides.

Batting first, Australia posted 90 for the loss of 5 wickets in their quota of 8 overs. In reply, India chased down the target with 4 balls to spare and levelled the series.

IND vs AUS: Dinesh Karthik wears a different type of helmet in the ongoing T20I series against Australia

Meanwhile, India’s veteran wicketkeeper-batsman Dinesh Karthik hogged the limelight after he donned a different helmet during the ongoing T20I series.

He made the headlines after he wore a blue-coloured helmet which looked really superb. We saw him wearing it in the first and second T20I.

He scored 6 runs off 5 balls in the first game in Mohali. However, he delivered the goods in the run-chase during the second T20I by hitting the winning runs for India.

Talking about Karthik’s helmet, the design of the equipment is so good that its appearance resembles quite similar to that of the helmet used in Baseball and American Football games.

Moreover, the helmet weighs less in comparison to the traditional or the modern helmets used by the cricketers these days.

It helps Dinesh Karthik move his head faster, which wouldn’t put too much pressure on his head in the first place. His helmet is ergonomic and lighter in weight.
