IND vs AUS:
Dinesh Karthik Hits Winning Runs For Team India By Smashing 10 Off 2 Balls,
Rohit Sharma Gives Priceless Reaction
IND vs AUS: Australia drew first blood in the three-match T20I
series. The Men in Yellow were truly incredible during the run-chase as they
smacked Indian bowlers with relative ease.
Rohit Sharma-led Indian
cricket team locked horns with Australia in the second T20I at Vidarbha Cricket
Association Stadium, Nagpur.
Talking about the must-win
game for India, the game was reduced to 8 overs aside due to the wet outfield
conditions. Needless to say, it turned out to be a spectacular clash, which
kept the visitors at the edge of their seats.
Batting first, Aaron Finch and posted 90 for the loss of 5
wickets in their quota of 8 overs. In reply, India aced the run-chase 4 balls
to spare and levelled the series.
The series decider is going
to be really interesting for sure. The third and final T20I will kick off on
September 25, Sunday at Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium, Hyderabad.
IND vs AUS: Dinesh Karthik
finishes things off in style
Meanwhile, India’s veteran
wicketkeeper-batsman Dinesh
Karthik stole the spotlight after he smashed a six and a four
in the second T20I against Australia.
He played just two balls but
he ensured to deliver the goods in style. India beat Australia by 6 wickets and
levelled the series. Rohit
Sharma gave a priceless reaction after Dinesh finished things
off in style.
“Glad DK could finish well. Been a while since he had some time
in the middle. There was this thought if we should get Rishabh in but I thought
Sams is going to bowl off-cutters, so I thought let DK come in and he is
playing that role anyway for us,” Rohit said at the post-match presentation.
Meanwhile, Dinesh Karthik
said, “There was not too much talk. Rohit was trying to tell me this is what
the bowler would do, I had my plans.
“As a middle order batter it
is about execution. It feels good to hit the winning runs. Ro with the bat and
Axar with the ball stood out, good to see Bumrah back. We need to take the
momentum forward. 1-1 is a good score.
