Iceland Cricket Jokingly Propose To Host India vs Pakistan Test Series
When India and Pakistan lock horns with each other, the entertainment quotient gets multiplied by thrice. Both teams have top players in their arsenal to bring their A-game in the passage of play.
Both teams locked horns with
each other in the recently-concluded Asia Cup 2022 tournament. The Men in Blue
beat Pakistan by five wickets in the group stage fixture in Dubai.
On the other hand, the Green
Shirts made a terrific comeback in the Super 4 stage. They stunned the Indians
by beating them by 5 wickets in the most-crucial encounter.
Both teams will once again
collide with each other in the upcoming edition of the Twenty20 World Cup 2022
tournament, to be held in Australia.
The tournament will kick off on October 16 and the summit clash
will kick off on November 13, the finals of the competition at the Melbourne
Cricket Ground.
Cricket fans across the world
are eagerly waiting to see both Pakistan and India go toe-to-toe with each
other in the T20 World Cup on October 23 at the MCG.
Iceland Cricket jokingly
propose to host India vs Pakistan Test series
It is cognizance of the fact
that India and Pakistan are competing against each other only in Asia Cup and
ICC events for obvious reasons.
There has always been
escalating tensions between both nations. As a result, both teams haven’t
played the bilateral series for over 15 years.
Interestingly, England
Cricket Board (ECB) came up with an epic proposal, adding that they are
interested to host India-Pakistan Test series there.
Meanwhile, Iceland Cricket
jokingly proposed to host India vs Pakistan Test series. They took to Twitter
and posted a tweet and it went viral in no time.
Check out the tweet below:
“We hear @ECB_cricket
have offered to host a Test series between India and Pakistan. We officially
announce to @ICC that we are also offering to do the same. Can provide near 24
hour daylight in June and July, as well as better Tweets covering the matches.
Sniper security too,” Iceland Cricket tweeted.
