The Spanish-Dominican attacker’s agent, David Aranda, did not receive any suitable offer for his client in the summer window. But he held talks with the Turkish giant Fenerbache.

Though Aranda denied “having spoken to anyone”, rumours suggested that they offered a €5 million per year contract. There was also interest from Celta de Vigo, but nothing came out of it.

Real Madrid will prefer to cash in on Mariano, as his contract will expire next summer. Atletico previously benefitted from the Madrid Castilla player like Saul, Marcos Llorente, and Álvaro Morata. The club is hopeful that this transfer will not be a miss as well.

Mariano Diaz was a panic buy from Real Madrid after Cristiano Ronaldo’s departure. At that moment, he was given the number 7 kit but did not reach anywhere near the former Madrid great. After arriving in 2018 from Lyon, he appeared only in 42 matches and scored 6 goals. This is the best time for him to leave his dream club behind.
