Milan news: Pierre Kalulu provides an update on his contract situation
The Rossoneri defender Pierre Kalulu sheds light on his future
at the San Siro. Speaking to the media, he said (via Fabrizio
Romano): “If all goes well as now… that we
win titles.
I
play as a starter, there is only the desire to continue here at Milan. There
will be time to talk about the contract with the managers”.
According to CalcioMercato,
Kalulu currently earns €400,000 net per season. The Milan-based club is willing
to triple his salary to €1.2 million per season, whereas the Frenchman is
looking to fetch close to €1.5 million. The two parties have scheduled a
meeting later this month to resolve the final details of the deal.
Milan
is interested in signing Real Madrid star
According to reports,
AC Milan showed interest in signing Marco Asensio last summer but the transfer
failed to materialise.
However, they are still
monitoring the progress of the Spain international and seem to be interested in
signing him for free when his contract with Real
Madrid expires next summer.
Asensio has been a key
performer for Madrid since joining from Mallorca in 2014. He has played 162
league games for the Spanish giants so far, scoring 28 goals. He helped the
Blancos win over 10 major trophies, including three La Liga titles and three UEFA
Champions League trophies.
However, he has struggled with his game time recently and has played just 12 La Liga minutes so far this season. He is unlikely to extend his contract at the Bernabeu Stadium unless there is a drastic change in his role at the club.
What’s next?
AC Milan is currently fifth
in the La Liga table, with 14 points from seven games. They will next go up
against Empoli in a Serie A game on October 2.
